Steel guitar North meeting (free!)

Hi there - I thought I should bring this up for attention since there re players within our "catchment" area that don't come along; it's free
The meetings are quite informal and friendly. You can play some of your own stuff, join in with a couple of "set" tunes for the day (Help Me Make it Through the Night and I love You Because - both in D are the ones for October, PM me with your email if you would like the tracks sent to you) or we can talk about techniques, find that elusive position that makes a tune easier, swap ideas on co-pedents or lap-steel tunings. And did I say - it's free
Above all we like to get to know each other in a steel guitar environment, pedal and lap.
The trip should be easy enough to get here from Tyneside (Nick does that each time he comes) and we have guys from Lancahire, South Yorkshire, and even regulars from Cambridgeshire. And it's free
The venue is only about 4 miles off the A1, junction 51 for Leeming Bar (Bedale) and it's free Start around 12, or a little earlier if you want

May I also remind you it's free. Anyone who has not attended one of these meetings should put it on their bucket list. You can sit and watch, ask questions, have a Buck Inn Burger, try a new tune, try an old tune and may I remind you : it's free. Donny

As it seems to be free then its on my bucket list! Plus it appears to have the distinct advantage over the Scottish meetings in that they seem to have it in a pub. What a good idea! Must make everything sound so much sweeter......

Hi Tony, do you have dates for the next few months of the North East Steel Guitar meetings please? I have a few Saturday gigs oop north over the next 6 months or so, and if the planets align I would love to get along to a steelies meeting!
