i was thinking of starting a steel club in Plymouth a few month back.but no interest .

I would love to come to your last meeting John but sorry it is just tooooo bl\@dy far from way down here in Cornwall and it would cost a small fortune in fuel.Sorry mate.

Distance is no excuse I have had people come from Germany, Holland, Ireland, Isle of wight.......... Some have even climbed over Hadrians wall to get here

Why don`t you treat that good lady to a nice relaxing train ride and make a weekend of it???

John, i won`t promise,but if we can find a dog sitter for that weekend then maybe we will try and make it if the meeting is on.

I wonder if you could provide the address of the venue? I'd like to attend but will be unable to bring my steel as I've had some surgery and can't lift anything too heavy for a while. It would be great to talk, listen and look though.

Thanks for the offer of using your steel John - I think trying to 'think' Emmons set up while playing a Day steel would be the end! I am still at the level of trying to co-ordinate feet, knees, hands and brain - sometimes I get them all working together, try to repeat - and find I've forgotten to drop a pedal or change fret!
Still, I'm having the most fun one can have whilst remaining fully dressed!
BTW, the map link seems to be incomplete?
