Hi all,it was a poor turn out this year with people having problems ,unfortunately these things happen.
But having said that ,this is my 5th year that i have attended and, to say the least it was Fabulous.
It was different this year for some reason.Great Lap/Pedal steel playing,great vocals ,and the humour
was thick and fast. Donny was m.c for us and was a natural.I must admit myself I made some mistakes this time
but was well applauded.But that,s what it,s all about,your appreciated what you do on the day.How good is that?
Overall the players ,their Wives , the pub Management,and staff , made for two great days.
I Hope i can attend more of these meeting over the coming years , because i value the
peoples friendship that is there. NESGF 2018

I reciprocate all Derek has said, and thank hin for his kind words. Yes it was down in numbers but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm, all the players there played to the best of their ability and didn't stop smiling for the whole weekend. I f orgot to mention in my last post ,that i found that someone had left a white coloured trolly under the tables
where the Buffet was .I told the Land lady And she moved it onto the stage.When Tony gets back ,if you let him know
he may look after it for you .Assuming he is well enough.

What a great weekend. The banter between everyone was second to none and some great playing. Thanks to everyone who took part whether playing or organising. From me and my daughter Kay, a big thank you.

Very well done Mick, you certainly can make that National " Growl " as well as produce sweet tones, your playing must have livened up the day and altered the opinions of some regards a sleepy Hawain steel guitar set
The overall sound is great and your backing track even provides an interlude for altering your amp
Must try and make it a date in the Calendar for next year, when you can produce a set like that who needs pedals
No wonder Donny used the icon, good work and keep them coming.

Sincere apologies for my absence, especially after being so warmly welcomed last year on my in-promtu (bad spelling) appearance. Would love to come back for the next one and hopefully get booked in to the Buck so as to enjoy the event even more, rather than having to travel to accomodation. Note to self, need to speed up to keep up with Derek Evans lol
