First and foremost, I'd like to say how appreciative I am of the South London Steelies and all of Jon's organisational efforts. Without it I would not be playing PSG.
18 months ago I had my very first go on a pedal steel at one of the meetings and thanks to friendly advice and the kindness of fellow members I managed to buy one and learn the ropes. It would be a crying shame if the meet was unable to continue.

I support Jon in the movement towards finding an alternative venue. As I don't drive I've relied heavily on the generosity of Andy for getting to and from Clapham. Thanks again Andy!

Speaking for myself, a new venue would preferably be located North or East.

I'll keep my eye out for a suitable venue in those areas. Criteria being: ground-floor loading, parking and (ideally) sub £80 rental?

Venue issues aside, I think the membership charge idea is a great one. And I would be happy to pay an annual / monthly fee to ensure we are still able to keep this meet alive.

Okay, so, if it's decided that Clapham isn't necessarily the best location, does anyone have a preference for a location? Somewhere that's an easy middle ground?
Ill put the word out today and see if I strike lucky. If I get a few options together, perhaps Joe and I can have a scout of them before hand and let you know if any are goers?
