Hi John,

You know my feelings on this, the stats Marc has put up are encouraging but I know it does seem very quiet at times, I guess we have to live with the lulls!

Thank you Ken and Harry for your support yesterday! Appreciated!

Re. meetings, you know I would be there if I could, I’m just not so free at the minute with the auld chap!

Our Scottish meetings can vary from 5 -15 and as it happens our last for 2014 is tonight, don’t know who will turn up? Willie is in the US and Malc is somewhere between his picks and the front door!! I hope he decides to join us, with or without PSG!

I do hope your Gt Barford day is supported, it will be interesting to see the uptake!

Bob, any time I have a bit of a rant consider yourself included OUT of it!! You have done more than any to promote steel guitar IMHO and the Auld Fella is top priority and rightly so. :D

As for the rest of youse....... Hows this for an idea? What about that dead period after xmas tween 27th to 29th December
If the puds gone down and y'all are not working would one of those days work for anybody??

No apathy here but personally, I am hibernating in December.
Unless you want a get together soon, why not leave it till spring?
Barford sounds better, but you don't really want that I don't think.

David I am getting too old and grumpy for the Gt.Barford thing and apart from that they priced themselves out of it as far as I'm concerned, makes me think what is the point of a village hall that locals cannot afford to use?? most seem to be going this way.... you need a business plan just to get in the door!! apart from that I found it quite stressful to organise it all and without a live band food and drink laid on the interest seems to evaporate......
Duloe started small and manageable but we soon outgrew it so I know the interest is there somewhere just dormant at the moment...
Harry thank you so much for your reply, We need 5 of us confirmed before I try to book the hall, I think from Jacen's post he will make it, but if we don't get the other's, your both invited to my front room where we can have a day of steel AND bacon sarnies!

Like I said anytime, I'll be there. Christmas week sounds like an Idea to me, roads should be quieter too.

John I'm afraid I cant do anything this side of Yule due to ludicrous amount of work, but am very keen if you have (another?) one in the new year .
Ken and Uncle Roy, do not despair! What usually happens is that I pop off to work with a new thread/posting in mind and by the time I get back home to send a reply (usually reasoned, articulate and witty), I find somebody has already said what I was going to say, only better. Not so much apathy then , more the reaction time of a tortoise. I agree with Roy that it would be nice if people who sell via the forum could make an economic "thank you". I have never sold anything and may never will, but have made some great purchases and have decded in future to donate to the forum as the purchaser. Cheers, Andy.
