Nice shots , Ken. It's good to put a face (and steel) to fellow forumites.
Tony, is that a custom Sierra? If my bespectacled eyes don't deceive me, is that 11 strings on each neck? Is this a double neck universal? Also, is that a quick release system for the legs? (Sorry for the grilling, just interested)

Danny - here is the link to some details and piccies of the Sierra, posted by the owner who sold it to the guy I bought it from; if that's not too complicated  .
The E9th is a pretty straightforward "Emmons" setup but has a totally superfluous extra bottom string that I really don't touch  . I should probably put some thought into that and figure out a better option - maybe a new thread coming up
The C6th is the reason I bought the guitar. I use an old fashioned  C6th with a high G. I prefer that to the currently more common D on top  . On the Sierra I have that same C6th on strings 2 to 11 but then have the popular D on string 1 :geek: . So I've managed to keep my tuning preference and still be able to check out any interesting tab, which is mainly written for the "D on top" setup.
The guitar is rock solid and works fine as my "at home" setup. But I still can't come to terms with the keyless head. It's mechanically great from a number of standpoints but ugly - and this one's uglier that most :P (one of these days I'll get some red plastic and make little boxes to cover the head :D )
Fender SM T-8: Shakey 10-plank: Ricky 6: Harmony H7 R Smeck,: plus "home-mades"
Fender D-10: Sierra D-11:

Thanks Tony! That was very interesting indeed. What a great history to that guitar.
I can see how the extra strings would be helpful, as well as the old/new situation on the C6, you'd be able to get some lovely low octave stuff on the E9. Does string 11 raise and lower with the other 'E's?
And, "Ugly"!!! No way, I think it looks the bollocks. All you need is a matching 'Nudie' suit to complete the picture! Sweet!
