We all try to be there for 7/ 7.30, try to be started by 8.00. Because of work,we don't always manage that but most do, someone is always there by 7.00. Everyone pays £5.00 for the hall expenses. We are booked until November, and pay 3mths at a time. Hope to see you there. I'm the only good looking one there but I'll wear a pink carnation just to be sure. Donny

Looking forward to it, don't know how much I can get involved playing wise but it'll be good to meet you all and hopefully learn a bit. I'm also looking forward to looking at your various pedal steels, I've only ever seen or played my GFI student and Carter in the flesh, so it will be interesting to look at and listen to some different models.

It'll be nice to meet you. Hopefully it's a good turnout on the night and you can check out some very nice guitars. We generally do a couple of round Robin tunes, this month it's Bobby Mcghee in E and Walking after Midnight in C (with a wee modulation to Db) Bring your backing tracks on a memory stick and you can give us the pleasure of hearing your Carter Universal, which sounds sweet on your posts btw.

I know Bobby McGhee as a song, so will have a go at putting something together for that. I take it that it's the melody that will be played on steel?

What do you have as a player, does it support memory sticks or do the backing tracks need to be on CD?

Our beloved leader, Donny, supplies the backing from his laptop, so a memory stick should do nicely.

Geoff don't bother getting "made up", have you seen the motley crew at Gartcosh, let's just say that everyone has the right to be ugly, but more than a few are abusing the privilege.Many are on a day pass from Carstairs, as you will soon realise very quickly, being the best looking amongst them I apologise for not being there to meet you in person.

He has probably overdosed on doughnuts from Uncle Roy, or as Ken Byng would say he is only part way through counting his millions, so can't afford the time to spend with us at Gartcosh
