Only one week to go now!
Just a thought - how about we have a play-around together - where we all join in the same tune and each can have a go at taking the lead for a verse/chorus or two? (can I suggest the Jim Reeves classic, "I love You Because", since everyone knows it and, let's say, in G?). Have a look at it during the week and we'll see what different take each of us can bring. What d'you think?
Another idea is - how about a (controlled) discussion on any aspect of playing anyone brings up; maybe something causing a problem, maybe some lick or tricky run you've found. We can all be at our guitars and share it. What about looking at playing backup to a singer. Or how does "guitar maintenance" sound?
What I have in mind is that we can learn from each other without anyone feeling the pressure of being "the teacher".

Another weekend absorbed in steel guitar and surrounded by friends - both the "regulars" and some newcomers There will be more of a write up before long, but I'd like to thank everyone who came, including non-playing supporters. The mix was great - some terrific Hawaiian, lots of fab swing numbers and great country music. Well done.
