Barnham. Steel Festival. 2014.

News of forthcoming Steel Guitar events, meetings and Festivals

If you're open to suggestions Dave, something a bit structured i.e. with a specific objective in mind (RH patterns, how to do a ii-V-I turnaround, how to use the II chord) would be of great value. What do others most want to learn or understand? Donny has a good system at his end, we might learn from his methods too. Picking a particular song as a 'vehicle' to deliver an instructional point helps the message go in quicker, etc. Just thinking aloud...

Will......

Yes, the more suggestions the better...

There was so much I wanted to show you all last time.

I have the experience of holding a meeting now, I have learned lessons, and it will be better for us all.

I will keep an eyeball on this thread, don't worry if I don't reply, respond to thread comments quickly,
There is a lot going on in the Hartley camp, including a new, even bigger, rehearsal and tuition room.
With Air-Con, heating, huge screen and projector, soft adjustable LED lighting and a big PA, with parking right against the outbuilding.

I will relax after its done. I am getting used to 20hr days working recently..

;)
CD's and individual tracks available to download from iTunes and CD Baby.

Well ok guys, send in your ideas, now like - good and early, so once it's clear what the majority want, Dave gets a chance to put something together. It's your day, you get out what you put in. But now is the time to say what you want to do!

I'm up for it any date will suit me if we can fix it before end of January. After that I'm likely to run into conflicts with my Events Secretary
Things to cover? How about the "Amazing 2 finger 3 string thing" :?:

News....

A steakhouse has just opened up, in Barnham....
This is a link to the same independent restaurant they have in Mildenhall.... http://www.cadillacjacks.co.uk/
I've been working like a horse lately, so I might have to eat like one and try their 72oz challenge tonight!

Right, time to get up, 4am, and get working..

Steak... (slobber) om nom nom...
Wonder if they deliver bulk orders out??

I'm pretty easy about dates, the only time to avoid would be weekend 22-23 March.
