Donny I'm replying to your comment here so it doesn't disappear in the system! Hope you are improving post haste!!
From what I saw it was a cosy little evening. My 'old man' was not so good this evening so at 7.00pm I thought I can go! But I took a risk and sojourned to Gartcosh for all of about 40mins.
Belting the door with my keys I felt like the foolish virgin late for the wedding feast but thankfully Brandon heard my aggressive attack and a warm welcome ensued.
As my mind goes round the gathering there was: Willie, John, Jim, Danny, Brandon, Davie, 1st timer Robert [McNeil] good to see him there and temporarily yours truly! Good for Davie Withers, bringing tracks on his PC ... well done that man!
It was as ever a joy to join the lads if only for a short time, talk steel, remember our less fortunate buddies (hope you are back to full health and strength soon) and give Willie's Mullen a road test!
I have to re-think these evenings, flying visits are not ideal! Do you know any baby sitters for a 95yr old!
I'm sure our greater community now know that we Scots have something of a passion for this instrument of ours and failing pestilence or flood the core membership will always endeavour to attend. For all others, well, there are so many commitments and Lord knows life can be so tiring, it is easy to say! Bollocks I can be bothered tonight! ....
But as the saying goes, 'You never miss the water till the well runs dry'! ...
Trust me! there is a day coming when 'you' will wish you had spent more evenings at Gartcosh!
