Nort East Steelies

The next meeting of the North East Steelies will be held on Sunday June 9th at the usual venue of the Buck Inn, in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Thornton Watlass, not too far from the A1 and situated on the Village Green. Idyllic surroundings.
It's a great venue and totally free for attendees. Just bring along a little cash to get yourself a snack or a meal, it'll be worth it! The beer's great and the food has been extolled so many times by our distinguished Forumite, Donny Johnson!
We'll kick off the session at around 12:00 pm, but if you wish to set up your gear earlier that's OK.
We welcome players of all levels to come and join us, just for a visit or to become a regular. One of our regular attendees is a non-player, Harvey Spirit who comes along just for the friendly atmosphere and a love of Steel Guitar music.
Pedal Steel, Lap Steel or Dobro, we'll listen to you if you'll listen to us! Bring your own backing tracks and we'll provide the sound system.
Our only Round Robin tune for this meeting will be the popular Hank Williams tune "Cold, Cold Heart" in the key of (F). The backing track for our R/R will be sent out to the regular attendees within the next couple of days, but if anyone else would like a copy, please PM me and I'll oblige. (BIAB file and WMA)
As well as the R/R, any attendee will get the chance to showcase any new tunes that they wish to play, followed by the usual "Roll with Rod" Jam session. Rod digs out some great tunes and is accompanied by his wife Rosemary on Bass Guitar. No backing track required.
So, if any of you Forumites wish to join us, you'll be warmly welcomed by all of our regulars.
We know there are more "steelers" in the area, so why don't you come and check us out?
Regards.
Keith.
