Cornelius Cardew's Treatise at I'klecktik Art Lab Jan. 28th

Howdy y'all!

I was hoping you might share the info for our concert this coming Saturday Jan. 28th at I'klecktik ArtLab, 'Old Paradise Yard' 20 Carlisle Lane, SE1 7LG London, United Kingdom

As some of you already know, Cardew was a very important British composer and musician and Treatise is his 193-page graphic score which has been called "The Mount Everest of graphic scores". The event will be recorded and filmed for later release. The concert is listed for 7:30pm but we will absolutely start recording and filming at 8 o'clock. It will be performed in two, one hour halves with a break of 20 minutes in the middle.

Eduard at I'klecktik has been extremely supportive of free improvisation and our endeavours and it's just as important to support his venue as it is this monumental work.

****I will be playing my 8-string Celtic Cross Weissenborn as part of a 13-piece ensemble but because it's free improv I can't promise it will sound like anything you recognize for that instrument!<g>
