SSGW CD - Thanks to Danny Mitchell.

Postby Jim G. » Thu Nov 05, 2015 10:28 am

This is a big thank you to Danny for the CD! I don't have your email address Danny, and I tried to PM you on here but it wouldn't work ~ so here it is for all the world to see!

That was a great production, and as already said, thanks to Danny, but also a big thank you to all the Brethren of the Bar who did such a great collective job in contributing to the CD !!! L.L.C. (Long Live Gartcosh!)

Thanks Jim, I'm very glad you like it. I would've loved to have you on there, too. That's what it was all about. Hopefully see you out at Gartcosh. Next month it's The Tennessee Waltz and a Xmas tune of your own choosing (no backing), plus the bit I like, when the lads go off on one!
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

And I go off on one with monotonous regularity, and sickening rapidity, It would have been great to have had you on that CD Mister Gorrie.

You could easily have done Farewell Party in the key of Gorrie ( without the Woa! modulation )

When do you intend dusting off the Fessie and coming back Jim we miss your wee smiling face.

~ I don't think so, Willie !!! --- it might have been OK if I was able to play anything with an acceptable sound, in fact I'd have been more than happy to have tried to contribute something to the CD.
I seem to have something of a 'chicken & egg' thing going on -- any time I sit down at that Fessy I just don't sound anything like the way I want to sound, I get disheartened, I eventually put the cover on, I walk away . . . . . and even when I sit and try to persist I just don't seem to 'get there'.

But keep your eye on that door at Gartcosh . . . you just never know.
