Have not seen much about the Irish Show this year, It was another fabulous festival, some brilliant playing (none of it from me I hasten to add ) Dave Hayward played an absolutely fantastic set, and The Teddy Bears Picnic was astounding, well played that man.
The company was excellent as usual, and I have nothing but admiration for all who arrange this event.
It was great to see Ted there, given the circumstanses.
The lads in the band, some of them new this year, did a great job.
The wonderful Tony McGrath and Pat Orpen did sterling work keeping it running smoothly.
What can be said about Joe Wright that hasn't already been said, out of this world.
I would like to convey a personal thanks to the Scots contingent who came along to support Donny and Myself.
I am happy to report that the Guinness was up to the usual standard, I only sample it in the interest of public safety you understand, as I am an alcoholic ( but I drink under an assumed name).
Brendan and Cactus Creek provided excellent music in the bar after the show on both nights, some fine singing and playing at these events too.
I would earnestly encourage any one who has not yet experienced this weekend to try your best to get over to Dublin next year, you will be most warmly welcomed.
It really is the most fun you can have with your trousers on
