Thanks for all the effort you put in, Bob.

It looks like Carol Kirk, Dave's bass player, is playing a borrowed right-handed bass left handed, so the strings would be in the wrong order for her (unless that is how she normally plays). Very impressive to be able to do that :D

Hi Richard, The truth is I simply can't help it, like you... PSG is in the blood and if the hours on promoting it don't kill me, lifting the damn things will! But hey ho! I will have to go some way!!

On the passion I'm going to say something majorly out of school here and really shouldn't but I will !

Donny Johnston who currently MC's our little SSGW get together in Scotland is not in great health but he is still trying to hold it together and it is a struggle for him big time. Donny has been known to speak from the shoulder at times but believe me his heart is with us all!

Anyway, at the start of last month's meeting he broke down as he felt he couldn't continue to carry the responsibility of the task! It was moving in the extreme for us all, bear in mind some of us we have known each other for forty years! Such is the passion for this instrument of ours!!! There is no other like it!

As for Carol, she's a star, I reckon she could play a 'P' Bass standing on her head but here is a clue from 2007 which I guess answers your question.... cute smile too!

BTW, It is way too long since I have enjoyed your playing live and it's about time John had another Gt Barford event! I know he said no more but that is bollocks!

Let's us have a hand clap for JD!!!!!

Well done Bob, I echo what you say about Donny, Mr Gamble and I started out with him many moons ago, and he has done a superb job with the Scottish Steelies meetings,I do hope his health improves as I'm sure we all do.Richard would love to see you come up to one of our nights, never had the pleasure of hear you play live but always greatly enjoyed stuff you put on the forum.
