News of forthcoming Steel Guitar events, meetings and Festivals

JD, I couldn't agree with you more. I even wondering if we need this forum anymore. Very few of us use it to contribute threads etc. I not even sure if many donate cash to keep the site running. As for all our meetings very very few attend. Certain forum members only use the site to flog gear without donating anything to the kitty (there are the guys that do every time they flog gear) and we thank them.
We that run the forum and the society and the meetings do it for the love of the steel guitar but we cannot continue these things without more punters attending and paying to keep everything in the black.
Well that's my rant for the day but we need to think about this.

getting slightly pissed off lately.

That's a working day for me so can't make that date but I like your idea.

Thanks for the offer JD. I know it's a million miles, but I would like to make the effort to try and learn a bit more.
Regards, H.

David is there a Sunday that you are available?, I would prefer to look at a Sunday as the roads are quieter and most people less likely to be working, also I would hope to start at 10am and pack up at about 8pm to give all a chance to get home at a reasonable time.
Harry, was that a yes ? twood be nice to see you
Uncle Roy, Nice rant

Hi John.
I only have 21st free in December and can't be 100% sure I can be there.
You know I will try if I can. It might be a Cambridge Christmas shopping day.
What about that old C6th player in Beccles? He needs some practice.
Perhaps he will see this and reply..

And yes.... There is always a loft lookers to threads without replies. That's a forum for ya!

I think I'm working that day JD. I've been toying with the idea of something similar in Essex.

What is apathy?
Who think John is getting grumpy?
Perhaps everyone is practicing and too busy to contribute to the forum?
Or perhaps hanging up their picks?

Not sure the 'apathy' approach is the best way to encourage participation.
John, December 14 won't work for me either, gigging up the smoke that afternoon.
