2014 STEEL SEMINAR EXTRA FILES.....

Wed Nov 19, 2014 4:25 pm

Hi all.

Those who bought the £20 disc with all the tabs, tracks and files on at the seminar this year will notice you have now been invited to a shared Dropbox folder. I will add extra material through the winter nights. The first upload will take a few hours as I've added a lot of files you may be able to use. :D

Do not re-share please.

Anyone wishing to be added to the file sharing folder and have the seminar disc, just email me at [email protected]

Hi David, thank you for sharing the files. I see that a person or persons have deleted some files from the shared folder. I think this is what's happening: because the folder is quite large it puts most users over their free 2GB usage and you start getting emails from Dropbox asking you to upgrade (£7.99 per month) or delete files.

To avoid deleting files from the shared folder you can do this: click on the "sharing" button in the dropbox menu on the left. To the right of the Pedal Steel Guitar folder you should see "options". Click on that and leave the folder (you can always rejoin). There is a box which is ticked by default to leave a COPY of the folder in your dropbox. You can delete files from this copy, which you will notice doesn't have the shared folder icon on it (two stick figures). Alternatively, download what you need first and THEN leave the folder. To rejoin, click "sharing" again and you will see David's folder listed.

Hope that helps.
Jonathan

Thanks for the info.
It could be, but I am the owner with loads of space.
I don't think they will be warned of over usage by viewing the files.
I have put an urgent message up for them to read too.
It doesn't help with others adding photos.
I have had no complaints yet and most have joined.
Time will tell.
