Steel events in midlands

Hi there, I'm aged 23 from the midlands. I am a HUGE fan of country...I listen to it as a daily ritual...that is real country though...not the rubbish that comes out of Nashville today. My favourite artists who I constantly listen to are:
Waylon Jennings (both his pre-Outlaw and Outlaw country songs)
Johnny Cash
Kris Kristofferson
Willie Nelson
(also, the above four artists together as the country supergroup "The Highwaymen")
Porter Wagoner (prefer him singing solo as opposed to his duets with Dolly Parton)..."The Rubber Room" is an amazing album by the way - I have written a review for it on amazon.co.uk
Charley Pride
Don Williams
Lefty Frizzell
George Jones
Buck Owens
Merle Haggard
....and so many more! It's hard to choose a favourite. But I love all these guys and their music. Most people my age would consider me strange because of my love for this kind of music, I am sure. I'm not phased by that.
One thing I love so much about real country music is the sound of the pedal steel. It can sound so sad, sometimes eerie and haunting too. It touches the soul in so many ways.
If there are ever any events/steel guitar evenings being held in the midlands, I'd love to be informed. I do drive so can travel.
