Country music in Scotland

I have My own opinion of this. What do You think ?
The Scottish Country Music awards will take place soon and We are being asked to vote for nominations.
Best solo. Best Duo. Best band. Best non local band.
Best Dee Jay. Best line dance. Best line dance teacher.Best song writer.

I fully admit I am a dyed in the wool a Country music lover.
I cannot somehow get My head around the nominations for Best line dance,Best instructor.
I have never agreed with solos and duos using backing tracks.
My thoughts on good country are a decent singer with a four piece band of competant musicians, they do not need to be world class but need to be dedicated to giving a good performance.
