C6th tuning for a lap steel

Postby Brinorl » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:00 pm

Hi,I was given G-E-C-A-G-E for C 6th, but someone else said C-E-G-A-C-E. going from bass to treble. Which is correct? I have been using the latter.

Hi Brian
Welcome to the forum, the answer to your question is from bass to treble C E G A C E and there is a lot of information on utube about C6th, tablature is easily available for this tuning, so nail a cushon to the wall to prevent head injuries when you bang your head off the wall at times learning steel guitar and good luck on your journey into the unknown :P :guitar:
Cheers
Robert
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!
