Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone knew of a good 10" speaker for steel?
I just bought a Laney LC15 cause I wanted a more tubey tone. With the stock speaker it isnt great for steel but if I use an extension Cab (a 15" Yamaha club series PA cab) It sounds beautiful.
If I could find something in 10" that had a bit more headroom and was warmer than the original speaker (HH Invader) it would make a great portable amp.

They are 12"'s Roger would not use anything with a smaller Diameter than a 12 though I did have to build my cube cabinets 60mm taller to get them in....

hmm it doesnt look there's any way of getting a 12 in it without building a new box
How much work is involved altering the Cube cabinet? I could put one in mine...although I quite like the tone of my cube
How much are you asking for the JBL's?

I had a thread on here a while back with all the pics, it was not that difficult all I did was took all the furniture off the cube corners etc. then measured all the bits just adding 60mm to the height dim, then went off to B&Q where they have this fantastic saw that cuts perfectly square they had it cut in about 5 minutes and I took the bits home, screwed and glued and put the bits back on.... one I refinished in matt black the other is still in its raw state but works just as well.
I would highly recommend it as a cube improvement. E120's from me will cost you £120 each, they come in a cab that you can use or discard if your building a combo but the cabs I have were designed to suit the 120's. You may be able to find one local to you they do come up now and then....
