Pick up replacement

Postby Boru » Thu Mar 24, 2016 6:34 pm

Hello all.
I'm fitting a new pick-up (Wallace) to my Fessenden SD10. I didn't realise how virtually impossible it is to get the screws and the little height adjustment springs back into the guitar without losing the springs.
Maybe there is a right way of doing this ??
Even with the guitar propped up on it's side, gravity still wins.
Thanks for any suggestions

Pick up now fitted after much tearing out of hair and an almost dawn start.
If you are changing a pup and having the same finger fumbling trouble, you might be interested to know how I managed.
Please send PM for details. My work around could be useful to you.
