Saw this posted on the US forum, looks interesting. Apparently it'll also do different programmable temperaments.

Decent price too!

Me too Ron, I'm half thinking about getting one just to see how well it works. I looked at some reviews on Amazon which were all very positive apart from 1 review.

The only thing that I'm suspicious about is how accurate your machine heads are as in, when they are new they will have a smooth motion but when they get older "sticky" bits tend to develop. I guess they may have taken that into consideration but the proof would be in the pudding, as they say.

(PS Still working on the lapsteel, unfortunately the last few years have been a bit traumatic and I've found it difficult to find the spare time to really put into this, but once I've built my new speaker cabinets  I'll be getting back to it. Are you still working on the pedal steels?)

Yes Geoff, I've started to build another, I've done a changer and the tuner heads, started the chassis and at present looking for decent wood.
I'm probably going to have to use plain hard maple and veneer it with Birdseye veneer if I can't find anything.

I've sold one so I've only got one left, that's the recent 'blue' one that I finished.

John Davis played them and liked them so I'm going with that design at the moment, he says he's looking forward to playing the next one.

That's good to hear Ron, it would be good to hear one in action sometime, maybe John would oblige? :D

I'll see what John say's Geoff, he demonstrated the one I sold to the guy who bought it, I don't get around much now so it may take a little time.
