Changing Strings on a GFI keyless (first time)

Postby Danny Mitchell » Mon Apr 20, 2015 4:28 pm

Got my strings from Mr JohnDavisStringsHere (thee place to get your strings from).....got my #2 Phillips screwdriver....my wire cutters....specs on.....and I'm happy to report....it was an absolute breeze!

It took me an hour, but I was taking it quite slowly. I had previously changed strings on my Carter Starter and it had taken me ages to get the thing in tune again, but this set up is really easy. Once the strings had been stretched, about 3 times, it settled bang into tune and I was back to my post, murdering some country classics.
I was so happy I just thought I'd share.

To sum up, Gene Fields was a very clever man, and I thank him.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

An HOUR! what kept you, were you doing it blindfold ? ;) Sarah Jory, (and the not so good looking Gamble ) can break a string during a song, and have it replaced and tuned up before end of song. :guitar:

Ha ha! I was just making sure I didn't scratch my lovely geetar.
As for those two quick change artists, they should get together and start a novelty act; Gamble & Jory. I'd pay good money to see that. Who says Variety is dead.
