time to upgrade ! ? !

Anyway, as I have NEVER played another steel, my question is what should i move up to ?? I haven't got a huge (any) budget but am looking for a double neck guitar suitable for gigging and more importantly recording as am getting offers of work now and frankly the old CS ain't up to it.
Any ideas on (second hand) instruments and or ballpark prices gratefully recieved
