See if Ron Bennett or Dave Wiggins , or even Shakey can make you one up.Al Brisco of Steel Guitars Canada has all the Carter Spares but believe there is a forty dollar minimum on orders from him, somewhat excessive I think when you have to add shipping and import taxes.you can always take it to a local engineering shop and ask them, it is only welding rod type metal.

its the really short one, about 7cm overall with a right angle bend 4cm from the thread end 7/16th inches of thread
sorry about the mixture of units but the diameter looked closer to 2mm than anything else.
when i get to 64ths i stop

(hemi semi etc etc)

If you can buy a simple 2.5mm metric die (I bought a cheap set) you can make the necessary rod out of a coathanger from the drycleaner's. I did this at least twice and they are still ackling a year and more later.

I think this one would be ok but, it only has about half inch thread on it but that should be enough for adjustment....and, it measures 1/10 inch thick approx 2.8? mm will it go through the hole in the mech.ok ?
And you have to cut it off at the desired length and re-bend the 90 degree bit.....
If thats all ok I will send it...... If / when I send it measure at least three times before you cut to be sure, to be sure to be sure, >>>>
