Do you know what Allan i think i am. I've just had 2 hours on the steel and it sounds wonderfully in tune. Think i'll stick the boss one back on the floor with the guitar pedal rig....

I get it now

Matt, you might want to try the SH9 (Sid Hudson of Live Strings) , sounds good, just a little different from the SW9. Other way is to put your own settings in, takes a little time getting what you want, but seems to be what quite a few players are doing.
MSA Millennium SD1O, GK MB200,Sica 12 and Telonics 15 speakers , Joyo American Sound pre amp, Jay Ganz Straight Ahead 500w class D Amp, Hilton pedal, Peterson tuners,Digitech RP150,Scott Dixon seat/ flight case.

Here are the stroboPlus steel presets..

PEDAL STEEL GUITAR
SE9: Peterson E9 Pedal Steel Sweetener 1 SE9
SP9: Peterson E9 Pedal and Lever Offsets for SE9
SC6: Peterson C6 Pedal Steel Sweetener
SP6: Peterson Pedal & Lever Offsets for SC6
OE9: Peterson E9 Pedal Steel Sweetener OE9
OP9: Peterson Pedal & Lever for 0E9
EM9: Peterson Emmons Style E9 Pedal Steel Sweetener
EP9: Peterson Emmons Style E9 Pedals & Levers
EM6: Peterson Emmons C6 Pedal Steel Sweetener
EP6: Peterson Emmons C6 Pedals & Levers
U12: Peterson Universal Pedal Steel Sweetener
P12: Peterson Pedal & Lever for Universal Pedal Steel

SE9 is what I personally always used, and if there is cab drop detune on the E's when A+B are pressed, I just tune them a tiny bit sharp but it's not really necessary. Remember Matt, these are so accurate so don't go worrying about strobe stability and movement too much. It is a pedal steel at the end of the day and rarely played with open strings so your accuracy with the bar, including bar pressure is the main reason we go out of tune.
Peterson have added other sweeteners to the StroboPlus so it might be worth trying them out too.
I am back using a Peterson VS-2. I removed my Peterson StroboRack to make space for a TC Electronics effects module.
I plugged into both the peterson tuners at the same time to check they were both accurate and they both registered the exact static strobe on every note for SE9.

Petersons are very very accurate, we as players are not so accurate.

Your stroboplus will be much easier for you than your previous tuner.

Have fun, keep practicing.

Matt is our Franklin of the UK. ;)

Hi Matt
Welcome to the Peterson club!
I use SE9 and SP9 on my Sho-Bud. The straight-up tuning they offer was some way out. The Sid Hudson tuning was WAYYY out on my guitar.
Hope to see you at the Bread and Roses, May 18th?

The SE9 is working a treat for me, i'm so glad i have this tuner now.
David, Franklin? What? I mean thanks, but no way.
Nick, i've got a gig in Bangkok on 18th, i'll try and get to the one in June. Apologies for my absence, i want to get involved when i can.

Question. My Strobo Plus SE9 setting does not agree with my Strob flip setting SE9 when tuning my guitar.
Any ideas why please? Or is this a stupid question.
