SE9 is what I personally always used, and if there is cab drop detune on the E's when A+B are pressed, I just tune them a tiny bit sharp but it's not really necessary. Remember Matt, these are so accurate so don't go worrying about strobe stability and movement too much. It is a pedal steel at the end of the day and rarely played with open strings so your accuracy with the bar, including bar pressure is the main reason we go out of tune.
Peterson have added other sweeteners to the StroboPlus so it might be worth trying them out too.
I am back using a Peterson VS-2. I removed my Peterson StroboRack to make space for a TC Electronics effects module.
I plugged into both the peterson tuners at the same time to check they were both accurate and they both registered the exact static strobe on every note for SE9.
Petersons are very very accurate, we as players are not so accurate.
Your stroboplus will be much easier for you than your previous tuner.
Have fun, keep practicing.
Matt is our Franklin of the UK.
