what amp for pedal steel without going overboard

Hi Guys , I will soon be getting my new Sheffield sd10 and i have looked at various makes of amps
too too many now i don"t know what way to go so i am looking for some suggestions .Thanks .

I would go for a 70`s Fender twin (not a repro one) no printed circuit boards hot wired..... and if you want it light put some neo speakers in it..... about 500 quid should take care of it....... :)

For me the amp for steel has to have a 15" speaker. A Fender Twin for steel is just too trebly for my taste (unless you put a 15" speaker in it of course). People say the Peavey 112 is great. I can't comment as I haven't tried one yet but I hae me doots!
