Sho-Bud LDG, a coupe of issues

Postby Stellgreen » Sat Aug 23, 2025 5:27 pm

Just rescued my Sho-Bud LDG from a two decade rest in peace in its box, restrung it to E9 (with new D’Addario strings) etc.

However, two issues:
1) The pickup for the third string (G#) doesn't appear to be working.
2) The spring working the 1 pedal doesn't return the pedal very well, so the strings don't return to B very quickly or reliably.

Could anyone suggest any simple remedies to fix either problem?

Many thanks for the reply - probably too far away - Frome, Somerset.

Any ideas on things that might be fairly easily checkable ?
