How much work to turn this into a "normal" pedal steel?
I may have the option to buy a D10 Excel guitar that was built for Kyobi 'Lion' Kayabashi. It has nine pedals and five levers, and a 5-up/3-down changer, so should be quite versatile, but the current setup is unusual and I am wondering how difficult it would be to put it into a more conventional arrangement. I am not sure how much Mr Kayabashi used the E9 neck as nearly all the pedals and levers are set up to do something on the C6 neck, and as far as I can tell, the E9 copedent is not a standard one. That I guess isn't too hard to change, but it would also be necessary to move the LKL and LKR levers further to the left, as they are currently in the middle of the frame. I would want the whole thing raised up too, as it's too short for me to play comfortably at present.
Any thoughts?
