Flight Case Foam

Postby simon_f3 » Thu Mar 14, 2024 10:38 am

Hi, I am doing a lot more gigging on pedal steel now and need to upgrade or replace the case that my D10 lives in! Can anyone recommend a source for some heavy duty foam to line the case please? I have an old suitcase that has been adapted with some plywood and velvet curtains (don't ask - it does the job and is what came with the guitar!) but there's a guy selling a mixer flightcase down the road which looks like it can be modified to fit my guitar. Just want to find some decent foam to line it once I've done the metalwork and woodwork.

Many thanks in advance,

Sid

Sid, I put my best steel in guv.issue Pelli storm cases, much better than original case but I have always got the Packhorse case co in Peterborough to line them out and have had 3 done so fare they are so good at it as they do it all day long, last one cost 40 quid inc material and worth every penny. Your D10 would not fit in one of them but Packhorse would line the case you have chosen

Cheers John, £40 sounds very reasonable! I'll give them a call once I have a case ready for lining. :)
