Tony.
the hexagonal brass is held on with Red Loctite (not brazed). I have some if you need it also have some 3/16 brass hex rod. More than I will ever use...
I also have a USA tap & die around some where for the 3/32 rod as used on the Session series but can't remember the size. Will try to locate & let you know. Although the thread you use is not that important as long as it can be cut on the rod. Also have some Nylon rod for the bellcrank end.
If you can wait I can bring some hex rod etc. to NESGF.

Thanks Pete :D , I've got some 1/8 rod now and Bob Adams gave me some brass hex rod. :geek: What I did was to cut the hex to length, drill a blind hole and thread the brass as deep as a tap (4BA) would go, then thread the steel rod a tad less. Then screwed them together until they jammed up. Seems solid now. I also used 4BA for the bellcrank end. From nylon rod (about 10mm?) I turned barrels for the bellcranks. It now has all the pull-rods for the E9th and a C to B (as well as C to C#) on C6th. I have made most of the parts to add two more KLs to C6th (central KLs) but I need to get some nylon spacers for the changer and sort out a reverse mechanism for one of them. Space is tight to avoid fouling LKR and RKL with these additions, but I have two bellcranks under the back neck on the vertical (E9th) KL cross rod and mean to slave that up to central KLR; then the two levers will move as one so the cross-rod serves a dual purpose :ugeek: , that will save a couple of inches.
When I get it turned upside down again (need help  !) I'll take some pictures.T.
