First of all, if you use an active volume pedal (Hilton, Telonics etc) stay as you are.
You only need to use the 3-cord hookup if you have a pot pedal.

Steel guitar out to amp input (use low gain if you have a powerful pickup).

Take a cable from the pre eq patch 'send' to the volume pedal input.

Vol pedal out to DD2 in.

DD2 out to RV2 in.

RV2 out to pre eq patch 'return'

Leave the tuner out of the chain if you are a casual player, indeed I would also omit the reverb pedal, there's too many toys in the chain.

Peter,
Richard has given You sound :) advice.
I hope You noticed that the DD2 comes before the RV2 in the chain.
I tried My Peterson in the chain and it casued distortion, perhaps Peterson have rectified this in later models, anyhow I manage fine without it.
best regards

Hi Pete,
Next thing You'll be selling Your CD :)
I use the "Perfevt touch " picks .I bought them a few Years ago at the Dallas show.I recently bought another pair from Hobro.
I find the perfect touch to be the most comfortable picks I have ever used. All other picks seemed to hurt My fingers at the cuticle.
Glad You are happy with Yours.
As our good friend CrowBear says Peep Kickin ;)
