Should I or shouldn't I?

I've been offered an eight string Fender 400 PSG, in need of some TLC. All the parts are there, and I'd only be using it for home recreation when I need a break from lap, reso and b***o. The selling price is €450 btw.
I just can't decide if it's a good idea. I don't want to be stuck with it if it doesn't suit me, but I don't want to miss a bargain. All advice appreciated!

Tony, that's cheap!!! If the pickup works and you can use it as a non-pedal consul model, then you're OK I reckon. If any of the pedals work too that's a bonus. Can we see pictures?
