Maximix

Postby SoBSteel » Tue May 12, 2020 6:58 am

I have this little device that I picked up years ago and can't remember who from...it is called a Maximix. Very simple to use, one in and one out direct from the guitar into volume pedal, it really sweetens the sound and smooths everything out. Anyone know who designed it, built it, sold it? Are they still made...I want a back up :}.
Cheers
Shaun

Looks like an impedance matching device (Buffer circuit). If you've switched to an active volume pedal lately then you probably don't need it anymore...

If your still on a pot pedal then just about any buffer device would do or this http://www.sarnomusicsolutions.com/products/fl.html. There are lots of different buffers out there or you could try going straight from your guitar into a quality effects pedal (delay) then to volume pedal & then to any remaning FX you might be using...
