Never had a problem with my Peterson tuners altering tone, have had two, a Stroboflip and a HD. I tried AB test on them with a true bypass device, absolutely no difference in tone or volume. I also had Sue from Peterson check out the Stroboflip when she was staying with us on holiday, and again she could find no tone or volume difference. Although the HD had more on it, I never liked the size of it or the black controls buttons which made it difficult to see on low light stages, so went back to my Flip, tried it again today with the new pre amp and class D I now have , again could not hear any change in tone or volume with it in line.
