Clem Schitz Booklet

Postby Billy White » Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:05 pm

I was having a look at the American forum and came across a post "Help with Emmons push pull set-up". The post referenced a booklet & dvd's by Clem Schitz titled "Methodology and Practice in Pedal Steel Guitar". Has anyone in the UK puchased it and was it staightforward? I have never used ebay.

Billy
Firstly, Clem's surname is Schmitz - or German for Smith. I have a copy of Clem's Methodology booklet and I have found it to be a fantastic help. However, I needed to get my second string sorted on my push pull, with a semi-tone raise plus a lower to D and a further lower to C#. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't quite get the C# note. It wasn't covered in the booklet. Clem is a long time good friend of mine and I emailed him with my predicament. He wrote straight back and put me right. A lovely man who knows as much as anyone about the push pull guitar.

Sorry about the typo, I wasn't trying to be funny! I appreciate the feedback and will probably look into purchasing it, if only to try and understand the workings of the push pull a little better. My wife says my spelling is att.. app.. Bad.
