Peter, I have both pedals, there is a difference in tone between them, the Hilton gives same tone all way through it's travel, the Goodrich varies in tone through travel. Both are excellent pedals, and everyone has their own opinion of them.Pro/ cons-- Hilton is more expensive, powered by wall wart, has no pot to replace, Goodrich unpowered, up until recently the available replacement pots did not last and expensive, they have now come up with their version of the Dunlop pot, which should help with reliability.I got my Hilton four years ago because of Goodrich pot problem, some only lasted a few weeks , others a few months, so purchased the Hilton, the extra cost mitigated the cost of all the replacement pots.I got a spare wall wart at time but have never had to use it.If you know anyone who has either pedal ask if you can try them and see what suits you best.
