Lift kit - leg insert

Postby Nick Bidmade » Thu Mar 27, 2014 7:56 pm

Being 6' 3" I have had 2" rod extensions on my guitar, but hadn't realised I needed a 'collar' (there's probably a name for it!) to sit between the pedal bar and the leg tightening gizmo (there's probably a name for that as well!) I had been tightening the butterfly nuts with a pair of pliers to stop the pedal bar lifting when playing.
I've found a cheap solution - plastic plumbing waste pipe connectors - just the right size, but white plastic - not so good.
Any ideas for a 'chrome' 2" insert that would look a little better?

How about a wardrobe rail cut to size with a pipe cutter? I'm sure you can get them different diameters. Try B and Q.
