Remove Guitar Neck Bennett D-10

Thu May 03, 2018 6:21 pm

Hi,

I'm in the process of cleaning the changers on my Bennett D-10 and need some help.

I managed to get out the E9-changer by "hammering" out the axle and removing all fingers by pushing them through the body. (I am new to pedal steel guitars and hope I get all the terms right :) ). However, the C6-changer is "too deep" into the guitar neck by about 1mm. I can't get the axle out without serious damage (see attached picture).

So: How do I remove the guitar neck from the body in order to gain access to the changer? I can't find any screws that hold the neck. Are they underneath the fret board? Do I need to take off the fret board and reglue it afterwards?

Removing the changer doesn't seem possible. The screws are underneath the guitar neck.

Any hint is warmly welcome.

Best regards,
Marty
