Building, restoration, repairs, set-up, tweaking....in here!

Hello Everyone
While I was having a nice little rest from copedent tweaking, foolishly thinking that all was well, fate has conspired to give me the option of adding 1 or 2 pedals to my LDG. So what to do? I’ve already fitted the veritical to drop the B’s and my RKL lifts 7 a half and whole step. Even got my C pedal doing a bit of work outside of its usual area as it drops 10 a full step, a belter if you haven’t tried it! So what should I try now?
Very grateful for any suggestions, rude or otherwise. And does anyone know if this obsession ever stops? Or should I ask the Doc for some medicine.....
Cheers

What's the thinking behind lowering 10 a whole step, Calum?
I'm playing a U12, I don't have 9 = D on mine, for example, but I can get it by raising my 9 (your 10) +3. If I lower my 9 (your 10) -2, I get the same effect as raising my 10 from G# to A. I get that with the B pedal. I'm wondering whether that gives you a note not normally available with a 10 string E9 setup, but one I can already get with my U12 setup.
How do you make use of it?

Hi Will
The idea started from wanting to be able to play a full 2 octave scale with no bar movement which the 10 drop completes. Also all the other pedals and knees do something on the higher strings and the lowers so I thought that the C pedal was being a bit lazy. It gives you the root note of the AB chord down an octave if you play it with BC instead which opens some fingerpicking guitar style options. But the best bit is BC with the 7th full tone raise which is a maj7th across the whole neck all strings good. And probably some other stuff I've not considered yet All good so far...

Nice one Calum

I can see you get that 'A, A6,F#min type thing' with that drop. Would raising 2 almost complete the picture?
As for new changes

The 2 most commonly applied (I could be talking sh@t here) seem to be The Franklin and The Sigler. I've got the Sigler, it converts the bottom 7 strings to a C6 tuning, and you're welcome to have a mess with it at Gartcosh.
Otherwise, start taking the medicine

Cheers for that Danny
I’ll try retuning the guitar to simulate those pedals and see what I fancy.
2 actually goes down a tone when I use RKR as normal plus 9 down a half which completes the maj7. One side effect of adding the 7 raise was to make the feel stop much easier to hit when dropping 2 a half or half raise on 7. Love this machine - a whole lot of hobbies rolled into 1!

Yes, Calum, I doff my cap to yourself and Geoff. You both have that pioneer spirit that lets you get down and dirty, under the hood
When it comes to alterations, my limit is the application of gaffer tape and polystyrene

Coupled with my Tablexia, it sometimes feels like trying to complete Musical Sudoku on a contraption built by Heath Robinson.
Thank goodness I love the sound

Well considering that the guys that came up with this stuff would just head out to the shed to steal a clutch pedal out of their tractor to bend a string, its the duty of the rest of us to keep the Heath Robinson spirit alive! But at this rate, its only a matter of time before I start fitting a nose lever.......

You mean you haven't fitted it yet Calum

It's a disease and some of us suffer from it more than others! Sadly there is no known cure!

Yes Bob a disease about covers it! Or perhaps a virus that I picked up from another Steeler with 'tamperitis'....
Here’s a really disturbing thought for you. I realised last night that it would be possible to make a mechanical 'And Gate' which could add additional pulls only when two combinations are played together. I’m trying not to think about it.......
Cheers
