Which is the best Lexicon effects unit for PSG

Wed Feb 04, 2015 11:31 am

I am considering purchasing a Lexicon Effects unit for use with my steel and would very much appreciate any input on their range of products and what in your opinion is the most suitable for steel. My present effect set-up is using the Boss Delay and Reverb pedals. I am open to all suggestions such as the use of other makes of effect units.

I use a Digitech RP200. That and the RP150 (rarer than hen's teeth) give a good range of effects, I'm very happy with mine.

Message for David Hartley:

David I have tried to contact you via your PM but it does not seem to be accepting messages. Thanks for your offer but I am looking for a more current model.

I use an mpx-1, you can pick em up fairly cheap and they are very high quality

Do you any of guys use any effects settings in addition to reverb & delay on these multi effects units?

I quite like Zoom MS-70CDR Multistomp, which gave me an OK Rotary effect in addition to reasonable reverb & delays.

I used an RP150 for a while, nice effects at very modest cost but returned to using individual pedals as I find them easier to adjust on the fly.

Currently I use Digitech Hardwire DL-8 & RV-7 (with Lexicon reverbs).
