Anyone ever used a Morley VP? Opinions on performance please?
I know the size of the footprint, placement of knobs and jacks etc

but I'm not considering it for use with pedal steel.

Tony, I used a Morley many years ago, mainly for 6 string but did try it a few times on steel, could never get it for steel, just didnt seem right. However! for guitar was the bees knees, it had a side to side action also for a kind of wha wha, really well made unit, bomb proof solid. Do they still make em?

Yeah Dave - there still seems to be a few models available, with and without wah-wah. May be "new-old-stock" if you think they might've packed in? My interest would be for lap and/or consul steel, so it wouldn't get in the way of any hardware underneath! Not sure what you mean about "didn't seem right? I have a couple of VPs each with a different "feel" and seem to be ok with those - is that the thing? I've seen quite a few on flea bay and even new they're much less money than the pot-less VP's aimed at us. T.

Tony 'didnt feel right' ? hard to explain I used sho bud pedals for years, then got a Clark steel with a clark vol pedal used that for ages, so I guess it was just the Morley didnt seem comfortable under foot in comparison, much bigger and have to say robust, prob was it was always easy to just go back to using my clark or old Sho Bud. Im sure for your intended use the Morley will be fine, as I said on 6 string it was a winner for me, especially having the side to side wha wha. (when I was trying to be a funk monkey)
Let us know how it goes.
