ok
as i understand it-
click on the following website. it's a rodding chart. will give you a strarting point regarding bell slot position. this will be a work in progress, depending on whether you have enough pull on a particular string. click on the link at the bottom for a D10.
http://steelguitar.com/rodding.htmlTune all the nylons in, until they are just starting to alter the note of the string. then back off a couple of turns, to give you enough slack. this again, you can alter to taste later.
then, alter each pedal or lever stop accordingly to get the correct note.
after this, you will need to back off one or the other nylon tuners in a pair, (5 & 10, 3&6, etc) as plain and wound strings will not pull at the same rate.
see how you get on. if you cant get enough pull on the nylons alone, then change the bellcrank slot. further from guitar gives you more pull, closer gives less.
then, go around in continual circles for about a fortnight between pedal stop, bell crank slot and nylon tuner.
A right royal pain in the rear.
Hope this has been of some help.
regards
Jason.
