Setting up....adjusting pedal/lever travel...bell cranks etc

Hi All
Hoping this is the right area of the forum for this one....have noticed that there aren't so many 'hits' here!!
Just acquired my 'new' MCI D10 from the illustrious Mr Byng, (thanks Ken...it's a good 'un
) and have now decided to revert setup back to Emmons.
All rods nicely laid out in the correct position...all doing what they should be doin'...!
Hoping someone out there can help clarify the logic in now setting up pedals/levers
Pedal/lever travel, bell-crank slot position, and tuning at the changer are all available.....but what comes first
I realise that the process is most likely a cyclic one, and each of the stages above will be revisted to get the setup 'just right' ...but any advice would be most welcome
If there is a 'sticky' out there on this one....then I couldn't find it....

ok
as i understand it-
click on the following website. it's a rodding chart. will give you a strarting point regarding bell slot position. this will be a work in progress, depending on whether you have enough pull on a particular string. click on the link at the bottom for a D10.

Tune all the nylons in, until they are just starting to alter the note of the string. then back off a couple of turns, to give you enough slack. this again, you can alter to taste later.
then, alter each pedal or lever stop accordingly to get the correct note.
after this, you will need to back off one or the other nylon tuners in a pair, (5 & 10, 3&6, etc) as plain and wound strings will not pull at the same rate.
see how you get on. if you cant get enough pull on the nylons alone, then change the bellcrank slot. further from guitar gives you more pull, closer gives less.
then, go around in continual circles for about a fortnight between pedal stop, bell crank slot and nylon tuner.
A right royal pain in the rear.
