Hi all,
I have a great Bennett double neck steel but it's set really high. I want to get some shorter pedal rods for it but I can't get hold of any up-to-date contact details for Ron Bennett so I'm wondering if anyone can advise on where to source shorter pedal rods in the UK or Europe?
Thanks!

If you contact Bob Adams on this site, I'm sure he will help you if you can give him the exact dimensions of the rods that you need. If your pedals are set really high, then you may well need longer pedal rods.

Jesse has already contacted me Ken and I gave him the most up to date contact phone number for Ronnie, thinking that was the best route.
However
If the front legs have adjustment then shorter pedal rods will fix the problem, but as you say some measurements are needed to solve the case!

easy peasy just cut them down and re thread them..... then you sort the legs out if they don't adjust
If you have spare thread above the pedal connector you may not even need to re thread a small amount of thread = a lot of adjustment.

I read that wrong Bob. Obviously on second reading the legs are set long, so the pedals will be set low. I saw it initially that the pedals were set high.

Gents,
Thanks so much for your help and replies.
Monsieur Bennett emailed me this evening and has offered to alter my pedal rods if I send them up to him. He strikes me as a great guy.
Alas, my pedal steel being too high up will no longer be a valid excuse for my playing!
Thanks again!

Jesse
