Springfield questions

Being the adventurous sort, I bid on a Springfield PSG in an auction at the other end of the country, and won it. It's just arrived and I am certain it's the same instrument that was advertised back in 2015 on this forum. Photos below if anyone's interested.

In that thread, the seller says that it had a complete overhaul with new undercarriage. It certainly doesn't look like any of the other Springfield mechanisms I can find photos of. Does anyone know the story behind this instrument? It is basically in good shape but could do with some fettling...
