Many Thanks for all the Birthday greetings Lads, I have only just got my pc working again so missed the nice comments.
I can't believe I am 64 but still feel 25.
I am having to learn C6th now I am in a new band called Bamboozle, they are a bit Rockabilly/Western Swing/50s Swing.
Like many others out there I have been leaning on the back neck for years and only farting around on it occasionally, now the bloody band expect me to take lead breaks on it.
I muddle through, but panic a bit when the lead player says things like, 'Dave that twelve chord in the ninth bar should be a F sharp minor 7 flat 5 and when you play it could you sing do do wah in a 7th then dooby doo in a 5th just as you start your instrumental break, 'The swine' I never used to struggle on things like cold cold heart or the fugitive.
Still you are never too old to learn, I just wish my 5 grandchildren would hurry up and grow up so they can carry my steel and gear in to the gigs, its all getting a bit too heavy for Carol, but I am always behind her telling her where to put it, sometimes she tells me where to put it, but this is a respectable forum and I better not repeat her words.
Kindest Regards
Dave
