Tommy Bannister from Hampshire

One of my best mates for the past 45 years, Tommy Bannister rang me this week. Tommy suffered a stroke a few years ago and this curtailed his career as a musician. He was a brilliant guitarist and top notch steel player, but has been paralysed down his left side since the stroke. On top of this he tells me that he is now rapidly going blind. I can't believe that he has been dealt such a cruel hand, as his main link with life was his computer, but he can no longer see the screen.
This latest setback has happened really quickly, and the specialists say that nothing can be done. Very very sad.

Sad news indeed Ken, none of us know how long we have got with our ability to play,,,,,,, best advice is, enjoy it while you can!
Buzz Evans has suffered a similar misfortune with his eyesight

I knew Tom and as Ken said he was a fine musician ,and no words can express the way poor Tom must be feeling, and he will be on my list of prayers and thoughts.
God bless you Tom.
Jimmy.
