A Big Thank you from Carol Kirk

Postby Dave Kirk » Sun Jun 08, 2014 5:57 pm

I would like to thank everyone for their kind remarks and prayers which have been such a comfort over the last few months that I have been fighting this horrible illness.
Dave has kept me updated with every entry by you wonderful guy’s out there, and my love and best wishes go out to you all.

I have now finished my last course of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, and have a month or so to wait before my next hospital appointment with the surgeon where I will learn what their intentions are.
I am feeling a tiny bit better every day, and am really looking forward to getting my throat reactions back so I will be able to have a sip of lovely cold water.
My only way of getting liquid into my body at the moment, is through a small tube in my tummy, via a syringe which ‘Nurse Dave’ does for me.

I would like to especially thank Bob Adams all the Steelies from Scotland for my lovely signed card and beautiful flowers that have brightened up the bedroom and made me feel very special.

Thank you all so much again, and I look forward to getting better, and giving you all a big hug at a steel meeting somewhere.
Love Carol X

Thank you for the update….

You are family and a very special little lady that is why we care!

The flower boss (Karen) got her orders to make sure they would last! ;) If they don’t let me know and I will be on it!

The lads up here would give blood and their vital organs to make you better, I really mean that!

I just picked up an email from Mette and Peter (Finland) they hadn’t known, were gutted and are immediately putting you to the top of their T&P list!
Such has been the case from so many; we are all rooting for you day and daily.

It is good to hear of even a ‘tiny’ improvement! We all hope it motors on from here!

Much love to you both from us all… B xx

Carol, get yourself better and back to the festivals, it's not that old guy that plays steel for you we all come to see, you are the star of the stage, he just provides the backing to your bass playing. look forward to seeing you back on stage. :guitar: best wishes from us all up here in Scotland.
