RIP Butch Mahr

Postby Dave Kirk » Fri Aug 24, 2012 8:56 am

It is with the greatest sadness, I have to report that my dearest friend Butch Mahr died last night as a result of a car accident in America.
Butch for those who knew him was a larger than life character in every way and fantastic fun to be around. As he was a massive supporter of not only the Steel guitar, but also the Guitar in general, he attended all sorts of concerts and functions and I always told him he was more famous than the acts themselves.
Our thoughts go out to his wife Terry.
If there is a Bar or Honky Tonk in Heaven I would imagine Butch is there ordering a drink.
RIP old mate!
